Mrs. Ann Brackett
I am excited to join Lanier Elementary for the 2022-23 school year as a full-time School Counselor. I received my Master's in School Counseling from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in August 2019. I served as Counselor at Tellico Plains Junior High School for three years before coming to Lanier. I chose the Counseling profession as a second career because of the opportunity it offers to make a positive impact in the lives of students.
I attended Mississippi State University and received my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. I came to Knoxville to work for the Tennessee Valley Authority at a research lab in Norris. After ten years there, I retired to become a stay-at-home mom for the next 20 years. My husband and I have two grown children both of which are still in college and pursuing graduate degrees.
