We moved to TN 2 years ago from Florida. I have been a teacher for 23 years, 17 of them in special education. I graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Elementary Education and Psychology, and a Masters degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities. I earned my doctorate in Curriculum from NOVA Southeastern University. I live on a farm with my husband and our 2 children.

I am the Speech-Language Pathologist assigned to Lanier Elementary this year. I have had the privilege of working in multiple settings and multiple grade levels, including Preschool-High School.  I am the mother of two boys. I am excited to become part of the Lanier family!

After working with children since I was a child myself, I knew I wanted to work in the classroom.  I originally went to school to be an elementary school teacher, but after spending some time in a resource/inclusion classroom I knew that is where I was meant to be.  I identified with those students and wanted to be that person that could hopefully make a difference in their lives.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Special Education.  My husband and I have a dog, and we are getting ready to welcome a new family member this year.
